From Friday, April 18th to Sunday, April 20th, our Co-Founders, Victorio Primadi and Yangky Wijaya, packed their bags and headed to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) to dive headfirst into the Middle East’s absolute largest pop culture festival.
Why MEFCC?
If you’ve been following the vertwo journey, you know we are always on the lookout for the next big wave. MEFCC isn’t just about scoring exclusive merch or catching a glimpse of massive celebrity guests like Andrew Garfield and Charlie Cox (though, let’s be real, the star power this year was unreal). For Victorio and Yangky, this trip was strictly about the hustle.
Our founders hit the show floor with a clear mission: exploring fresh opportunities and hunting down new business partners. The creative industry thrives on collaboration, and with over 46,000 visitors, exhibitors, and visionary creators from all over the globe packed into one venue, ADNEC was the perfect playground to connect with like-minded innovators.
The Vibe on the Ground
The energy at MEFCC 2025 was off the charts. Between networking, Victorio and Yangky took in the absolute madness of the event. From the sprawling Artist Alley featuring world-renowned comic creators to the hyper-competitive Gaming Arena and the Otaku District, the inspiration was flowing nonstop.
Navigating through massive crowds of incredible cosplayers and industry giants wasn’t just inspiring for the team, it was a firsthand look at how global brands and independent creators are actively pushing the boundaries of film, TV, animation, and gaming.
What’s Next for vertwo?
We can’t spill all the beans just yet on who we met with, but let’s just say the conversations had in Abu Dhabi are going to spark some major moves for vertwo. We’re coming back loaded with fresh ideas, exciting new contacts, and a whole lot of motivation to keep leveling up.
