Gundam Build Metaverse is a Japanese original net animation mini-series produced by
Sunrise Beyond, created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Gundam Build franchise.
The series also commemorates the 45th anniversary of the overall Gundam franchise,
featuring appearances from characters across previous Gundam Build titles.

Set in the same universe as the Gundam Build series, the story takes place in a digital
metaverse where users interact using avatars and engage in virtual Gunpla battles. The story
follows Rio Hojo, a boy living in Hawaii who learns to build Gunpla from a local hobbyist,
Seria Urutsuki. In the metaverse, he’s trained by the mysterious Mask Lady, who introduces
him to the art of battling.

With his custom-built Lah Gundam, Rio sets out to challenge
ever-stronger opponents as he grows both as a builder and a fighter.
